Installation Instructions

The Tenderfoot Pooch Mat has two surfaces to choose from, both of which are durable and non-porous. We suggest installing the smooth surface up for best cleaning and sanitizing results. Animal waste is easily removed and the surface hosed off or sprayed with a cleaning solution.

"Our daycare is patterned after the SPCA of San Francisco... where we found out about your product. 2000 sq. ft. of our play area is covered in rubber mats from RB Rubber. These mats are the best, the dogs run and play and we never worry about them slipping and incurring any injuries. Clean up is a breeze!!!
You have a wonderful product with multiple uses!"

Where traction is essential, the textured, anti-skid surface is the recommended surface to be facing up. It can also be hosed off or vacuumed with an upright carpet or commercial cleaner.

We recommend installing the Pooch Mat over a smooth, level surface such as asphalt, concrete, dirt or compacted aggregate rock. Simply lay out the piece and put the "interlocking" puzzle pieces together.

The tight-fitting, interlock pattern over the initial smooth surface area allows for the seams to virtually disappear. To prevent dogs from lifting Pooch Mat edges, the mats should extend under the kennel walls. As with any pet area, make certain that the kennel has adequate shade throughout the day and plenty of fresh water.
